Elaine whited
Class of '74 - Secretary, Chairman of the Scholarship and Fundraising Committees, Member of the HOF
Elaine is a Rhode Island Honor Society, Central High School graduate of the class of 1974. Immediately after graduation, Elaine began working at the Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company as a secretary. In the following years she began a career in the Food & Beverage industry as a manager of Spat’s Restaurant, the proprietor of Pizza Patrasso, and a Banquet Captain at the Rhode Island Convention Center to name a few. Her most recent employment was with Brown University where she was the Benefits System Analyst Manager. After 19 years with Brown, Elaine retired in July of 2022.
Besides belonging to CHSAAP, Elaine has helped organize the Class of 1974 reunions since the 30th reunion and every 5 years following. One of Elaine’s passions is helping teenagers see their potential and worth, which is what lead her to join CHSAAP.
Besides her volunteer work with CHSAAP, Elaine stays busy with her family of two daughters, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She enjoys gardening, reading and supporting live music venues.
